Sarah earned a B.A. in Biology with concentration in psychology at Abilene Christian University in Abilene, TX, and her Doctorate in Physical Therapy here in Austin at University of St. Augustine. She has practiced at South Austin Therapy Group since receiving her doctorate. During her time in school, she took advanced coursework on manual therapy of the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine, as well as of the pelvis and sacrum. She has worked with patients of all age groups, and has worked in various settings including hospital, skilled nursing, and outpatient clinic as an intern. Before pursuing physical therapy, Sarah worked as a pharmacy technician, which now provides her a more well rounded view of her patients’ condition. Sarah is passionate about empowering patients to safely use their body again after experiencing pain, difficulty with balance, or musculoskeletal injury, as well as helping patients learn about their body’s own unique characteristics and mechanics. Her personal interests include painting, swimming, dancing, watching live theatre, and spending time with friends and family.
